| 空軍仕様の作業服で訓練中の降下猟兵分隊だが、立っている兵士左から三人目は、左腰にZF41の収納ケースと思しきものを装着している。写真が不鮮明であるため断言できないが、訓練中の兵士はすべて右側に弾薬盒を１つしか装着しておらず、訓練に最低限必要な装備しかしていないことを考えると、他の何かとは考えにくい。 撮影時期のデータはないが、K98kはすべてフロントサイトフードなしであることが分かる。フロントサイトフードは1939年以降の導入である一方、銃器メーカーの工場で生産されたK98k-Zf41は1941年以降とされている。つまり、この兵士が使用するK98k-Zf41は、工場生産品ではなく、1939年以前の製造品を軍兵站部で改造したものと推定できる。 The picture shows a group of Fallschirmjaegers training in Luftwaffe fatigue uniform. The third soldier standing from left has what seems to be a container for ZF41 on his left belt. The picture is not clear enough to distinguish it, but since all the trainee have only one ammo pouch on the right belt and no other equipments, it is difficult to think anything else. There is no data of the date, but all the K98k are without front sight hood. The front sight hood was introduced around 1939 while factory manufactured K98k-Zf41 were from 1941. This represents that the K98k-Zf41 pictured is presumably converted at the ordnance depot from a K98k made before 1939. |
