| 本項ではオーストリアのKarl Kahles Optiker製4倍率の照準眼鏡Heliavier（またの名をH/4x60）を取り上げる。同時代の一般的なドイツ製民間用照準眼鏡は 主鏡筒の接眼側にリング型の焦点調節装置をもつが、本製品は完全なリング型ではなく通称「Half Ring Focus」と呼ばれる半リング状の装置をもっていたのが特徴である。 民間用製品としては、シリアルナンバー35000程度までは接眼レンズ側本体上面にメーカーロゴと共に製品名「Heliavier」が刻印されているが、以降は「Heliavier」に代わり「H/4x60」と刻印されている。 先に説明したとおり、1943年2月23日付マニュアルD136/2と同年5月15日付説明書25/4に「Heliavier」の名称が記載されているが、同年には既に 刻印は「H/4x60」とされていたと考えられる。 In this section, we will focus on the 4-power scope“Heliavier”(H/4x60) manufactured by Karl Kahles Optiker in Austria. While contemporary German civilian scopes generally feature a ring-shaped focus adjustment mechanism on the eyepiece side of the main tube, this product is characterised by a semi-ring-shaped mechanism—commonly known as“Half Ring Focus”—rather than a full ring. In the civilian version, up to serial number 35000, the product name“Heliavier” is engraved on the top surface of the main tube near the eyepiece alongside the manufacturer's logo; from that point onwards,“H/4x60”is engraved in place of“Heliavier” As explained earlier, although the name“Heliavier”appears in Manual D136/2 dated 23 February 1943 and in Merkblatt 25/4 dated 15 May of the same year, it is believed that the marking had already been changed to“H/4x60”by that time. |

| シリアルナンバーに着目すると、軍用型の特徴である対物レンズ側延長部や距離目盛、Half Ring Focusの廃止がみられるのは40000番あたりからである。ただし、44000番台まではメーカーロゴと
H/4x60が引き続き刻印されている。また、同製品においては廃止されたHalf Ring Focusがあった箇所付近の鏡筒上面にネジが確認できる。このネジは、メーカーロゴとH/4x60刻印の廃止でメーカーコードcadが刻印されるようになると共に、下面に移されている。 cadが刻印されるようになってもグリース記号の刻印はないことが一般的であるが、cadの刻印の上に△が刻印されたものも存在する。 マウントとの関係をみると、高型タレットマウント及び長型レールマウントとの組み合わせが一般的である。高型タレットマウントは、 シリアルナンバー44000から47000番台あたりのものがみられる。長型レールマウントについては、47000以降と、不思議なことに43000番台でH/4x60の 刻印がある初期の軍用型が複数確認できる。この一群の照準眼鏡は、初期の軍用型（例えば短型レールマウントに使用された物）を後に改修したことが考えられる。 Focusing on the serial numbers, it is from around the 40000 range that features characteristic of the military model—such as the extension on the objective tube, the distance scale, and the removal of the Half Ring Focus—begin to appear. However, up to the 44000 range, the manufacturer’s logo and“H/4x60”remain engraved. Additionally, on this model, a screw can be seen on the top of the barrel near where the discontinued Half Ring Focus used to be. This screw has been moved to the underside, when the manufacturer’s code“cad”has been engraved in place of the manufacturer's logo and the “H/4x60”marking. With regard to lubricant markings, it is common to see none even when the “cad”is present; however, there are also some examples that a triangle is present above the“cad”. Considering the mounts, combinations with High Turret Mounts and Long Side Rail mounts are common. High Turret Mounts can be found on models with serial numbers in the 44000 to 47000 range. As for the Long Side Rail Mounts, several examples have been identified from the 47000 range onwards, and, curiously, several early military models from the 43000 range bearing the“H/4x60”marking. It is thought that this group of scopes was a later modification of the early military models (such as those used on Short Side Rail Mounts). |
